T&J’s Church Point Manor Wedding

T & J met through mutual friends a few years ago and have been together ever since! Their wedding was “formal” yet highlighted both their personalities. As soon as we arrived at their venue, Church Point Manor, which is in Virginia Beach (snuggled back into a lovely neighborhood), you could feel the energy of their special day.

After putting on her dress, T stunned her bridesmaids with a first look, which I HIGHLY recommend! It’s so different from the Father/Daughter and Bride/Groom First Look and is filled with supercharged emotions.

T & J did not want to see one another until the walk down the aisle, which is the classic option but they did do something intimate and touching. They decided on a First Touch, in order to get some of those nerves out and also to remind one another how special their soon to be spouse is to them. This was a highlight for me for the day. We found a very, very old oak tree and had them back up until they were close enough to hold hands but not see one another. A Church Point Manor wedding without a First Touch or First Look is kind of a missed opportunity, just take a look at the picture below to see what I mean!

Prayers were said and then it was time for the Ceremony to start. Church Point Manor is honestly one of the most beautiful and underrated venues in Virginia Beach, as you feel like you are on a small estate with history around every corner. It made the backdrop to T’s ceremony just gorgeous.

In an impromptu and random moment, we heard the sound of the ice cream truck and the couple just HAD to get popsicles on their wedding day! These are the unpredictable moments that I love to capture, honestly.

The reception was amazing….Amanda from Sincerely Jane Events made it unforgettable with the Champagne Waterfall along with Blue Steel Lightning’s amazing overhead Edison bulb lights. It was romantic and dreamy.

All in all, this was one of the most sincere and lovable couples I have ever had the pleasure of capturing and I wish them both the very best for their relationship. I really do hope to come back to film a Church Point Manor Wedding in 2023.
