L&V’s Charlottesville Winery Wedding
Lori lost her first husband tragically, which made it difficult, not just for her but for her children, to be able to accept another person in the role of father. She was very careful with who she brought into their lives and according to her daughter Taylor, during her Maid of Honor speech that you’ll see in their Highlights film above, Vernon was the only man Lori brought into their lives. She was sure this was the real deal and it wasn’t difficult for Taylor to accept and come to love Vernon as her own father. Flash forward and there they were, on a beautiful and perfect October day, about to get married and make it official. A Charlottesville Winery Wedding is one of those unique things about Virginia…it’s hard to put into words but there is a crispness in the air, a romance that surrounds the vineyards, a nostalgic feeling somehow in the older parts of the area. This was the perfect place for Lori and Vernon to get married!
The First Look took place in the Chapel. Vernon was literally left speechless when he saw Lori enter. Afterwards, we spent a little time with just them, capturing them with the natural sunlight beaming in as the perfect backlight. If I could film a Charlottesville Winery Wedding every week of the year, I totally would. Especially during the Fall. You can see the colors of the leaves changing in most outdoor sequences of the film. This is one of the best aspects of filming here!
The vows during the Ceremony were both moving and hilarious. I don’t want to say too much, so go watch the film!
Their photographer, Aaron Watson, just absolutely blew me away with this shot of Lori’s veil! Stunning!
